Yogyakarta, September 28, 2019. The YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center underwent a revitalization project done by PT Mowilex Indonesia. This is part of their current CSR campaign and they have previously carried out similar revitalization programs in Jakarta, Malang, and Bali. The YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to helping children and teenagers with physical disabilities do they can be physically and economically independent. Mowilex has also stated their support for the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center in carrying out their educational programs.

To show their support, PT Mowilex Indoneisa has donated 700 liters of paint and direct cash donations to the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center. The company also volunteered to paint almost the entire facility. This was done based on a location survey done previously by Mowilex’s survey team that found that the paints on the walls of the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center have badly faded. The painting project was done by volunteers from PT Mowilex Indonesia’s Yogyakarta branch as well as volunteer university students.

Krisma Adhi, the PT Mowilex Indonesia Yogyakarta Branch Manager, said that “We have always supported equality and diversity in the community, especially towards those with disabilities. We have donated 700 liters of paint for the repainting project and have handed over direct donations to the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center.” Mowilex employees also volunteered their time with the painting project along with students from the Health Ministry’s Healthcare Engineering Polytechnical School in Surakarta.

Not only have Mowilex repainted the facility, Mowilex will also give aid in education and skills training to the children and teenagers at the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center. The children and the teenagers at the center will receive skills training catered to their needs.

At the same occasion, the Chairperson for the YAKKUM Rehabilitation Center, Daniel Sugiarto Roestamadji, says that “We can really feel the benefits from this repainting project, especially since the facility is quite large and we needed to undergo additional maintenance. We’d also gladly accept any help offered from experts or professionals from a variety of fields if they’d like to hold workshops for the students at our center.”
