Semarang, September 29, 2019. PT Mowilex Indonesia continues their CSR campaign by cooperating with the Education for Children Disabilities Foundation (YPAC) Semarang, which is just one of the different organizations caring for children with disabilities across Indonesia. Mowilex has previously carried out revitalization programs for similar organizations in Jakarta, Malang, Bali, and Yogyakarta. This program was carried out as part of Mowilex’s support for equality and diversity in the community, especially towards people with disabilities.

Based on a location survey done by Mowilex, the colors of the paints on YPAC Semarang’s building have faded and were peeling off. PT Mowilex Indonesia provided aid by repainting the foundation’s building and also handed over a cash donation. Almost the entire YPAC Semarang facility was repainted which was done by volunteers which included employees from PT Mowilex’s Semarang branch.

Yopie Dulimarta, PT Mowilex Indonesia Semarang Branch Manager, said “We have always supported equality and diversity in our community, especially towards those with disabilities in our communities. We have donated about 550 liters of paint to repaint the YPAC Semarang facility. We have also handed over donations to them as well.”

“Also,” Yopie continued, “we are proud to see our employees volunteering their time for this repainting project. Also involved were the caretakers at YPAC, as well as student volunteers from the Sultan Agung Islamic University, Soegijapranata Catholic University, and Diponegoro University which is a great help not only for us but also for the project. In all, we estimate around 100 people volunteered.”

Anna Yesito Wibowo, Head of Marketing of PT Mowilex Indonesia, added “Not only does PT Mowilex Indonesia want to deliver aid, but we also want to call on the surrounding community to also take part in helping our brothers, sisters, and siblings at YPAC Semarang. We also want to inspire the wider community through our actions and also through this program that we will continue to carry out.”

To ensure that the building is restored to a prime condition, Mowilex has offered YPAC Semarang the choice of colors for the repainting project, with the hope that the students and the caregivers at the facility will continue to be enthusiastic in learning and continue their creativity in the newly repainted building.

At the same occasion, Chairperson of YPAC Semarang, Kastri Wahyuni B. Sudarmanto, says that “With this repainting project, we’ve really felt the benefits. Especially since our building is quite large, it needed extra attention to maintenance. Our students are also very happy to see the newly repainted building.”
