Mowilex Donated Paints to support free housing program from The Ministry of Public Works and People’s Housing
Bangka, July 3rd, 2020 – In order to support Indonesian government new program called “Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya” (Stimulant Assistance for Self-Housing), or abbreviated as BSPS, Mowilex has donated paints to 47 houses in Barokah Residence housing complex received by 47 beneficiaries who had previously only afford to rent houses, instead of owning their own one. The Ministry of Public Works and People’s Housing assistance program has actually been commenced in 2019, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the postponed formal ceremony is just finally conducted today.
The ceremony was held at Barokah Residence housing complex, in Arung Dalam village, Koba sub-district by Bangka Tengah Head of District, Mr Ibnu Saleh. During the ceremony, he was accompanied by Bangka Tengah Head of Department of Housing, Settlement Area, and Transportation (Disperkimhub), Ari Yanuar Prihatin, Koba Head of Sub-District, Ahmad Muslimin, Head of Arung Dalam village, Supiyan, and it was attended by head of hamlets, neighborhood, beneficiaries, also the team from Mowilex.
“This residential development is truly a gift to our people, since they are not only receiving buildings but also receiving land in a quite strategic location,” said Mr Ibnu Saleh.
He also hoped that the beneficiaries of this land and housing assistance may feel grateful and enjoy their new houses.
“Please arrange and work together to make this residential a better place, because someday this will become a comfortable area,” he said.
He said that the local government will continue with their supports to this residential complex so it may turned into a nice residential environment with complete facilities, including 800 meters asphalt road on it. “This complex is not far from the city but still with natural surroundings, we will continue to build facilities here”, he added.
Meanwhile, Mowilex respons to the program as part of its CSR program, by providing painting materials to those who need such assistance. But instead of donating painting materials for repainting activities or repainting orphanage houses, this time Mowilex donated their paints for painting a new house.
“As a paint company, we are so delighted to cooperate with and participated in the Government of Bangka Tengah program by providing painting materials to 47 beneficiaries of the new residential houses. Mowilex wall paint is a premium quality paint that will stay long-lasting on the applied wall, and most importantly, as a water-based paint it’s environmentally safe and has no harmful impacts to the family members in the house”, said Roy Argado, Retail Sales Manager of PT Mowilex Indonesia.
Regarding this Stimulant Assistance for Self-Housing (BSPS), Ibnu Saleh said he would keep trying to get more assistance from the central government to help disadvantaged people who still rent a house, married couples but still lives with their parents, and to those who cannot afford to have their own land or house.
“Hopefully the central government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, will keep this assistance in their budget list so that people in Bangka Tengah may still receive the benefits of this program”, Ibnu Saleh stated.
On this occasion, one of the resident from Barokah Residence, Syarif, expressed how grateful he is to receive his new house, as for dozen of years before he can only rent a house and never be able to buy one.
“Thanks God, now I don’t need to rent again as I already have my own house. Thanks to our Head of District for this assistance,” he said.
