Dear customers, employees and community members:

We want to report to you that a member of our staff at PT Mowilex Indonesia has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual affected works in an internal office function and does not contact customers, vendors, nor individuals outside the office facility where the person works.

Before the individual’s test results proved to be positive, the affected individual had already undergone self-isolation for 10 days prior.

We are happy to report that our employee is receiving proper medical care and is showing very good signs of achieving a full recovery.

We also like to report that we have performed full contact-tracing, and all our employees who interacted and worked with the affected individual have also been tested. All the tests results have been negative, and to date no other employee who has come in contact with the infected individual.

As an abundance of caution, and in order to safeguard the health and safety of our employees, customers, vendors and the public at large, we have voluntarily decided not to operate our head office until 21 September 2020.  During this period, we will be taking the additional safety measures:

– Every employee in our head office will be tested, and if positive, will be subjected to quarantine and medical care; and

– In addition to the routine deep cleaning services we began in March, we will be performing an additional cleaning of our office facilities during this period.

We will continue to comply with the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) policies but will maintain an even more stringent occupancy standard for some time after we resume operations.

PT Mowilex Indonesia is proud of its progressive human resource policies.  We pay for the cost of all testing and care for our permanent and outsourced employees affected by COVID-19, as well as for testing of outsourced employees working in retail stores.  We also continue to pay full salaries when employees are ordered to stay at home and are unable to perform their tasks remotely.

We recognize individuals may become exposed to various risks outside of the workplace.  Our goal is to create the safest work environment for our employees when they are PT Mowilex Indonesia.
