Towards the end of the year, Mowilex has again been granted with an award after strict assessment by the team of juries consisting of independent experts in their fields. Mowilex has previously bagged several awards, namely in Deloitte Indonesia’s Best Managed Companies, as TOP Brand’s Favorite Exterior Paint for two years in a row, and as Favorite Interior Paint in the Golden Property Award (GPA) The People’s Choice 2022. On November 19, 2022, Mowilex won the IndoBuildTech Awards Outstanding Performance in Environmental Responsibility for its commitment in the sustainable environmentally friendly practices.

The award was held as a form of appreciation of PT Debindo-ITE as the organizer for the exhibitors. The selected winners have gone through a fairly rigorous selection and nomination process.

“Mowilex has proved its position as a company with a high responsibility and concern towards the environment. This can be seen in Mowilex’s commitment in planting 50,000 trees in various regions in Indonesia, besides its position as the first manufacturer with a carbon neutral certificate since 2019 until today. Mowilex does a lot of real work for the environment that we have not detailed yet. Therefore, we grant the Award to Mowilex in the category of The Most Outstanding Performers in Environmental Responsibility in the IndoBuildTech Awards 2022, Saturday, November 19 ,2022, at ICE BSD City,” said Randy Hidayatullah, Marketing Specialist at Debindo International Trade and Exhibition, who is also the Field Coordinator of IndoBuildTech Awards.

Mowilex has been awarded in various aspects related to environmental issues that have been proposed by the company since 2019. Besides being the first manufacturer with a Neutral Carbon certificate since 2019 until today, Mowilex carries out a series of other environmental-based activities as social activities to restore nature. The company has planted 50,000 mangrove trees, helps to protect 15,000 KM2 of Whale Shark habitat in Saleh Bay, protects 65,000 Ha Rimba Raya REDD+ which shelters 105,000 Orangutans, prevented the release of 447,110,760 tons of carbon in the Mentaya Katingan project, supports the development of clean energy wind power plants in Turkey and the Philippines, supports the Biogas project as a clean energy generator located in Vietnam and Thailand. As of November 2022, Mowilex is reducing its carbon footprint by switching to renewable energy using solar panels, starting at the headquarters.

As the first manufacturer with a neutral carbon certificate in Indonesia, eco-friendly practices have become Mowilex DNA. In addition to maintaining the quality of product features, Mowilex has been certified with the Green Label Singapore, which guarantees that Mowilex paint products are safe and environmentally friendly and do not contain hazardous materials such as lead and mercury, so that consumers feel safe when using Mowilex paint.
