• Mowilex Indonesia took part in environmental sustainability efforts to clean up the environment by improving the capacities of the Public Facility Maintenance Agency (PPSU) in preserving the city’s aesthetics.
• Their CSR and Community Development Program took place from April 29, 2019 until June 26, 2019.
• A number of Orange Troops (a popular nickname for the Public Facility Maintenance Agency due to their orange uniforms) were given training to be more creative in beautifying RPTRAs (integrated child-friendly public spaces) in the Cengkareng District as part of the government’s Child Friendly City program.
• A mural competition was held at the RPTRA for junior high school and high school level students from across the Cengkareng District which added an air of cheerfulness to the CSR event.

Jakarta, June 26, 2019 – Mowilex Indonesia has inaugurated their sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility  (CSR) in environmental sustainability through the revitalization of integrated child-friendly public spaces (RPTRA) in the Cengkareng District area, among which are RPTRA Intiland Teduh, RPTRA Pesakih, RPTRA Utama, RPTRA Serasi, and RPTRA Taman Pedongkelan in cooperation with other parties. The program which took place from April 29 until June 26, 2019 was held by the company as part of the upcoming National Children’s Day celebrations.

When asked during the event, Yoyok Setio Hermanto, Head of Human Captial Division, says that, “This program was done with the collaboration with the Cengkareng District Government and the West Jakarta Municipal Department of Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control (PPAPP) to learn together how to be creative when beautifying RPTRAs so they become more interesting and friendly for children living nearby.” He also explained that a number of Mowilex Indonesia employees also volunteered and gave training to the Orange Troops as well as the local community to take care of the existing facilities.

This event was the height of the implementation of sustainable CSR and community development which has already been carried out in the West Jakarta Municipality at 6 RPTRAs at each of the Sub-Districts in the Cengkareng District.

It is hoped that this event will be able to beautify the image of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta as the Indonesian capital mindful that urban planning and public space aesthetics have an important role as the face of a public, civil area.
